Welcome to our site
We are trying to get everything ready for all of you. We are an organization that was founded by a group of friends who studied economics. In our quest to find a more human, just and equitable system we began to delve into different ways to do that.
As we began to expand our horizons, we also saw the importance of organizing. Although NGOs are just a formality, we are trying to take on different possibilities to ensure being heard and share. We believe in cooperation and community and fight for that as activists, students, academics, and members of different struggles in the global South.
We will write an additional post regarding our views and philosophy, but for now we’d like to feel welcome to write us and look at our material as we get everything ready. We’re undergoing some changes to the website, our “blog” will be used for outreach on this website and the actual blog will be moved to Humanities Commons, an awesome project for open access and open source. That is one of our core philosophies, too. Please feel free to visit it: https://maizdecajete.hcommons.org/
We also have a group where we’ll be posting our latest publications, data, maps, etc. Please visit it as well: https://hcommons.org/groups/maiz-de-cajete/
We are working hard to bring everything up to date.
